I worked for PT&T for 5+ years (Vista,
Oceanside, Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon). I married my girlfriend's
older brother in 1975 and moved around California since he was in the Navy.
We made it back to Hawaii in 1980, returned to Kauai when he retired in
1983 and have lived there ever since. In 1992 we survived Hurricane Iniki
but all of our special memories (yearbooks, etc.) were destroyed. We
have two grown children. They both live on Oahu--Waianae & Kailua.
Our son is a chef at Dave & Buster's. Our daughter graduated last year
with her Masters Degree in Social Work and works in that field. My husband
has worked as an electronics technician at the Pacific Missile Range Facility
here on Kauai for 23 years (next month). After spending the early years
of our children’s lives as a full-time mom I have had numerous types
of clerical/secretarial/administrative assistant positions. My newest
position is facility security officer at the local offices of a Maryland
based hi! gh-tech company. My husband and I try to take a trip about every other year to different parts of the country. These vacations have been so much fun and sometimes are the highlight of our year--except for the birth of our grandson, the weddings of our daughter and son, and the addition of a step-granddaughter. Life is good. |
