My Life since 1966: The 70s were devoted to law and Micronesia. I was an elementary school teacher as a Peace Corps volunteer on Yap Island in the Western Carolines (turn left at Guam and go 450 miles southwest) from 1970-1972. Law school at Colorado until 1975; back to Micronesia as a Legal Service litigator for two years in Palau and Yap and then a year as staff counsel to the Congress of Micronesia's Future Status Commission on Pohnpei Island. New York for an LL.M. degree in taxation and on to Seattle. Carolyn Colvin and I married in 1982. Daughter Laura recently graduated from San Francisco State, joined us in 1984 and son, Peter, a Stanford junior arrived in 1986. We live on Bainbridge Island, a 35-minute ferry run from downtown Seattle. I'm engaged as a trusts and estates tax lawyer-a nice mix of personal and technical matters. I like to golf and garden on Bainbridge, travel to France and Japan, and eat well. Living well may be the best revenge. Best regards of all Classmates. |
